Ukpa (black soup).

Ukpa (black soup) of the Andoni people in Rivers State. Andoni is a Local Government Area in Rivers State, Nigeria. It’s headquarters is at Ngo Town. It has an area of over 233km² and a population of approximately 311,500 in the last census.
Andoni shares boundaries with Khana to the North, Opobo/Nkoro to the East, Bonny to the West and a river to the South.

The Andoni ethnic group has a sumptuous delicacy that will keep you wiping your lips with your tongue, it is called Ukpa (black soup).

To prepare it you need these ingredients:

Ukpo (makes the soup black)
Oyster (Ingbe)
Dried prawn (oporo)
Clams/Scallop (Ofingo)
Whelks (Ngolo)
Dried fish
Gnetum Africanum (Okazi leaf) and it can be eaten with any swallow of your choice.

With these ingredients you will achieve a mouth watering meal that will make you ask for more and even more.
